The Lovely Country Around Woodford

Woodford Folk Festival is a musical and entertainment extravaganza which occurs during the last week of every year in a magnificently pastoral location in the foothills of the lower Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia.

It is organised & run by the Queensland Folk Federation, based in Woodford, Qld., a largely volunteer run organisation, headed up by Bill Hauritz & Amanda Jakes. These people and a dedicated core of folkies have taken the festival from it's humble beginnings at Maleny on March 13, 1987, to unimaginable heights. Today's festival at Woodford is a hugely successful musical & multi-cultural event on a grand scale.

Look around this site for a small sample and come back often to see it grow.

This site is heavily graphical with many photographs from the festival. Please be patient whilst it is loading and all the colour & fun will be revealed.
