The Sutcliffe Gallery-Australia Home Page
This is the Australian home of the Frank Sutcliffe collection of magnificent sepia photographs all originally taken on 10 x 8 glass plate view cameras. He was very much an artist with light and definitely ahead of his time in the photographic field, lifting his work to the status of art with his evocative images from around the tiny fishing village of Whitby on the coast of Yorkshire around the latter part of the 19th century. SUPERB!
Plus many other historical images of old Australia and around the world. Hundreds to choose from.
